Wireless Access Instructions
Connecting to KU-Auth
Available Locations: Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel premises
Supported Domains: ku.edu.np, student.ku.edu.np, kusoed.edu.np, kusom.edu.np
- Locate the wireless network named "KU-Auth" in your device's available networks.
- Select "KU-Auth" and click Connect.
- When prompted for authentication, follow these settings:
- EAP Method: TTLS
- Phase 2 Authentication: GTC
- CA Certificate: Don't validate (or Accept on first use if Don't validate is not available)
- Identity: Your KU issued email address without the domain (e.g., if email is name9999@student.ku.edu.np, use "name9999")
- Password: Use the password for your email (the one you use to login to your Google Account)
- Click Connect or OK to complete the connection process.
Connecting to eduroam
Available Locations: https://monitor.eduroam.org/map_service_loc.php
Supported Domains: ku.edu.np, student.ku.edu.np and every domain with eduroam access worldwide
Request at: https://sims.ku.edu.np/eduroam/request.php
- Locate the wireless network named "eduroam" in your device's available networks.
- Select "eduroam" and click Connect.
- When prompted for authentication, follow these settings:
- EAP Method: PEAP
- Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPv2
- CA Certificate: Don't validate (or Accept on first use if Don't validate is not available)
- Identity: Your educational email address (e.g., if email is name9999@student.ku.edu.np, use "name9999@student.ku.edu.np")
- Password: Use the password for eduroam (this is different than that of your Google Account).
- Click Connect or OK to complete the connection process.
