Services

Server/Web Hosting

ISMS hosts a number of servers and websites for schools, departments, units associated with the University.

IP/Domain Registration

We provide IP and Domain registration services for provided or self-hosted server resources within the University.

Email Services

We provide email services for staff/faculty/others (@ku.edu.np) and students (@student.ku.edu.np).

Internet Services

ISMS provides internet services to staff/faculty/students/guests in office, residence in university premises and School of Law.

Training & Guidelines

We provide timely and on demand trainings and guidelines on various applications/systems and technological awareness.

Support & Maintenance

We provide round-the-clock onsite and remote support and maintenance on all IT related issues to our staff/faculty/students/guests.

Google Workspace

Google Workspace grants access to the following:

  1. Gmail: Google provides email hosting for institutions using their domain (@ku.edu.np and @student.ku.edu.np).
  2. Google Drive: Users get shared cloud storage for documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and other files.
  3. Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms: Full-featured online document editing tools for collaborative work.
  4. Google Meet: Video conferencing tool allowing for virtual meetings, classes, and webinars.
  5. Google Classroom: A virtual classroom platform for managing assignments, distributing materials, and facilitating communication between teachers and students.

Microsoft

You will have a Office 365 A1 (for Faculty/students) subscription which grants access to the following:

  1. Use of the ONLINE ONLY version of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or OneNote.
  2. Use of Microsoft OneDrive, which is cloud storage and can be accessed from any device with Internet access.

To avail your faculty/student resources from Microsoft, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the Microsoft Education Products page.
  2. Enter your KU issued email address and Click on the "Get Started" button.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to create your Microsoft account. Make sure to use your faculty/student KU issued email address.
  4. Once your account is created, you'll gain access to the Microsoft Services. For the full list of available apps/services, visit myapps.microsoft.com.
